FIRE ENGINEER - CONSULTANCY - DUBLIN
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is one of Ireland’s leading fire engineering
consultancies, they continue to secure significant projects.
The role will involve working on exciting projects across various
sectors including; Educational, Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial and
Residential for both public and private clients.
As a member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and
delivering effective fire safety solutions for various building types
whilst still maintaining quality and commercial standards.
Responsibilities will include:
Developing and producing fire certificate and disabled access
certificate applications for various building types,
Carrying out Site Inspections to review elements relating to Part B
and/or Part M
Carrying out fire risk assessments of existing buildings
Providing advice to clients in relation to their statutory
requirements as well as design advice
Preparation of relevant documentation such as presentations, reports,
detail drawings, etc.
Liaison with the design team, client, local approving authorities,
contractors and other third parties as required,
Maintaining quality standards
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in engineering or equivalent
* years experience working in at least 2 of the
following areas:
Production Fire Certificate Applications,
Undertaking Fire Risk assessments on existing buildings
Site Inspections as required under BC(A)R.
Excellent report writing and communication skills,
Knowledge of Building Regulations, in particular Part B
Knowledge of engineering software packages (e.g. CFD) beneficial
